"Dave, why in the world did you decide to make a full-time career transition to be a Realtor?"

I have often been asked: "Dave, why did you become a Realtor? You are an in-demand construction management & engineering professional, having exceled for 15 years with a fortune 500 company within a niche market. You are also a licensed Georgia commercial & residential contractor in a time of extreme demand. You had successfully bought and sold your own properties without the help of realtors. In fact, half of the time you were fed up with realtors for the way they conducted their business."

While that is basically fact, real estate has become my true professional passion of which I now embrace the opportunity of providing others with what I too often found and still find to be lacking within the industry of real estate. Innovation, intellect, integrity and a genuine willingness to listen and get to know the residents of the communities in which they serve.

My experience in real estate goes back to 2005 through the contracting of multiple speculation homes that consisted of raw land purchases, development, design, financing, construction and resale of completed properties. Despite having a strong start, the late 2000s "US Housing Bubble" eventually put an end to those endeavors. In the years to follow, my passion for real estate led me to purchase and renovate existing homes for resale in the metro Atlanta area.

Having found a new success and more personal fulfillment in the world of real estate, I decided to make a bold change in obtaining my real estate license (in a record time of 4 weeks due to already knowing the business), followed by what is now a full-time real estate career where I am leveraging years of experience in buying, selling and negotiating bargain deals to the benefit of my Customers and Clients.

In doing so, I founded the Martin Lake Group at Keller Williams Realty Consultants in Roswell, Georgia. Martin Lake Group specializes in real estate sales within the neighborhoods of Martin's Landing.
